It is reported that the technopark convoy got attacked this morning.  Even the police protection were not effective since the harthal supporters tried to manhandled some of  the technopark employees, and flattened their car tires.

What happened @ Bypass is proves the quality of the security provided.
Technopark Authorities should be much more mature in handling situations like this as the email informing convey service itself was not accurate. The irony is these people does not know whether it is 24 hour or 12 hour Hartal as per the email. Moreover these people don’t have any idea about how the convey vehicles should reach the starting points.
One / Two Police Men on a rented White INDICA car is the overall support for the convey ? Pathetic.
Information given to manhandled Technopark Employees “Technopark is in INDIA”. Kerala Government should realise that there is no point in building IT Parks in every corner of Kerala if they are not capable of providing basic security.
Shame for kerala. and shame for the police…. How these harthal bastards are allowed to ban us from working? how these harthal dogs are allowed to touch a techie? the police and authorities should answer for this.
Nobody is allowed to restrict any of the indian citizen from working and earning his daily bread. and this is the true violation of basic human rights.

If they are the supporters, let them not work. if i wanted to work, and especially as a tax payer in this country, the govt is responsible to give us the safety and protection to live and work in any of the harthal days.

Just 3 or 4 policemen and they call it a CONVOY. This is so pathetic. Police should ensure the law to take compensation for the losses happening on the hartal day from the party which calls for the hartal/strike.
Seriously Guys,,,this is too much. I wud say this is heights of Joblessness.. Since they arent working they dnt wnt anybdy else to work either… No wonder even wen other cities are growing along with the growth of IT parks their respctive cities, Trivandrum is lacking behind.

The hartal “against anti-human activities” by Trade Unions has now really became “anti-human activities”.
Why blame the police? Hapless creatures as they are, usually. What needs to be questioned is the mockery made by statements like Police protected Convoy. We all know for a fact that there is hardly 1-2 policemen manning the entire convoy and they are mere human beings.
It is a fact that several buses were stopped near Kulathur and techies had to alight from their buses and walk all the way to TP. It is also a fact that the so called union workers hurled the choicest of abuses and also flattened tires of buses. There are even unconfirmed rumors that 2 women employees were manhandled near the main gate.
These days, security within and outside TP is just another joke!

This is the nth time, we are seeing the failed and pathetic security provided by the police force and authorities. Its like terrorism, the so called union workers are abusing the people, who wanted to work and earn their daily bread. who all are having the balls to respond to this nonsense?
@alu, at least technopark was exempted from these hartals but now technopark also getting affected badly.
If Govt. allows this, our Industrial revolution is over.
I personally know 2-3 companies who changed office plans from technopark to Bangalore just because of our old ‘Bandh’.
What a shame? these so called morons are not even work and they are not allowing us to work…
It ‘s a personal choice to support or not to support the cause of a strike. Forcefully enforcing the choice is culture less , inhumane and a basic denial of human rights ! If it’s to create a hype of a nation wide support for the strike as being portrayed by the Left sided Party Channel , it ‘s BS ! We all know only a few people actually stay away from work to support any strike ! Well I don ‘t know any but still let ‘s just assume we have that invisible population who does that . Mostly it ‘s just plain fear of getting attacked by the psycho mob or damage to personal property.
The security at Technopark is pathetic and it ‘s a fact . It’s high time they increase it . A fleet of buses escorted by one or two policemen on rented vehicles is definitely not ‘fool proof ‘security as they say !
Fellows who said these anti social elements are not working ? They are infact working & they are getting paid for making this Hartal successful. They get stomache full of food & a good amount of Booze for doing all this. It is really high time that we organise together against such useless hartals said to be for the sake of common man & troubles the common man most.
Every hartal/bandh sees technopark work like usual. Surely irritates the bandh/hartal organizers. With such an efficient police force; the attack was like child play. End of the Hartal day; would anything change? No. Would the situation for which the hartal was called change? No. Everybody looses. Amen!
After independence, politics is never a ‘social activity’. It is a ‘job’. It is their bread-and-butter.
At least from next time onwards, the police should give fool proof security to the technopark convoy, and the nearby areas of technopark. technopark employees are getting attacked nearby the roads of technopark. so the police should present on the approaching road to the technopark.
All of them need tech employees money, why the harthal bastards attacks techies.. kick off harthal..
Cant understand when will these idiots learn!! I am sure anyone planning to invest in Kerala will think again and again before he starts.. Personally i feel take business somewhere else..
May be a mistake from the side of police this time, and never such a thing happened in past. this is the first time the harthal people is attacking the technopark employees.
Why should we blame police ? They are just human beings like us. We should blame the technopark administration officials and the CEO. On every previous day of harthal, they will send a mail from a predefined template, just by changing the date and hours (12/24) of harthal. And simply says “convoy” will be arranged. They even don’t know what this convoy actually mean.. Sending two police constables in a jeep is a convoy ??? Pathetic… We should inform this matter to our Hon. Chief minister and hope he will surely take care of this incident and will inform the technopark officials… Most interesting thing is that companies won’t allow us to form an association. If we could have an association, we can surely question these type of anti social elements.. We could even can protest against these fellows by not working half day. See, if we will not work for at least 2 hours, the loss for companies will be very high. So they will open eyes and will inform the technopark officials.. Its so easy to start IT parks in every corner of kerala.. but providing all facilities and proper security is some thing serious… Goverment and Police force should open their eyes…

What you said is very true and right. Anybody can do anything with the Techies because we are very unorganized. Even if they are met with any troubles, nobody will be there to help him other than his family. Not his employer or this technopark or any of the so called associations won’t help him. because he is not part of any associations or any organizations other than his company.
Imagine, if anyone would dare to attack any ordinary person, even if he is the member of any party or association? anyone would be trouble an ordinary shop owner? No, because he is the member of ‘Kerala Vyapari vyavaasyi Assocation’ and they will question it. they are a big group and a big vote bank! 🙂
So this time, we need to seriously think about joining in any of the associations who can protect our rights and raise the voice for us. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great. Please share your thoughts….

I was one of the victims in this incident and at the receiving end of these idiotic trade unions. These idiots stopped the vehicles, makes everyone walk and further take out a procession with calls like “pattini maranam” (death by hunger). All of these guys are really obese-filthy-lazyass-communist-red-scoundrels. Let them show me one death related to hunger in Kerala. Total pigs, what else can I say?
These guys are lazy scoundrels who want to make money without working (nokku kooli). One of the trade union idiots attacked the driver of our bus and tried to manhandle him. We intervened and hence the driver was not attacked further. I would just wish that the wives and kids of these harthal-announcing-idiots get into medical emergencies on the harthal day and they will have a taste of their own medicine. I am an independent observer and feel that the trade unions should be banned just for the sake of improving productivity in Kerala. Imagine industrialization happening in our state. IT(Info Tech) is one of the sectors untouched by unions and hence it is flourishing here. So, this should be adopted to other sectors and let all sectors florish.
Down with trade unions of all parties! Down with harthals!

MY one day journey to Technopark ! ( ON the all India Harthal )
This was utter ridiculous what happened on Thuesday !.
Me and My friend were driving the car and while reaching Chakai , unfortunately we got pulled in between the 35 bus convoey…While reaching Kulathoor, we could see that all great Union Folks sitting in Road and the Policemen routed through Old Kazhakutom Road ( from Byepass Le…ft which comes in @ Kazhakutton Junction ). After half a mile the vehiciles were stopped and all people were asled to get down.
I could notice that the Harthal Supporters were targetting Technopark Buses ( not cars ), and they kept on saying ” Is Technopark Not in India ? Today is Harthal !! ”
Union Folks have asked all people to get down from bus and walk to work if they want to work on that day..
All the 500 people started walking to office and we remained inside the car as the conveoy need to move further for us to move ahead and it was a narrow road.
Moreover they have removed air from Tiers of Asianet ‘s Bus and they were changing the tiers ..so bad…
I couldnt see any policemen around there apart from the old ages khakiwalas !
After spending time for an hour we got released 🙂 We could see on the way that 500+ Guys and gals walking on Bypass road towards Technopark Gate ( Almost 1.5 to 2 miles distance ).. What happens if there is Pregnant lady? What happens if there is person who is handicapped ? Who is bothered about all this when harthal is happening ? Weird !
Now I learnt a lesson never come to office during harthal days.
Such a pathetic incident never happens outside Kerala.. Do you think this will happen in Bangalore , Silicon Valley or Gurgaon or chennai ?
If police is not able to protect 35000 employees who come to work on a harthal day which give immense tax to government , then no one can co operate to come to work …which reduces the productivity and profit to the state..
How companied will expand here.. !!!
