TechnoparkToday.com(June, 2014): Technopark employees got attacked by local goons near Nila back gate today. Two techies were severely beaten by five local goons near the nila back gate tea shop.
This incident happened when the techies questioned the rash driving of a vehicle while they were standing there. the guys in the vehicle came with some more people and started beating the techies and fled the spot. “they came in a white Tavera cab, registration number KL22D3372 ” – a witness said.
This incident happened within 24 hours after inauguration of police aid post in technopark. the new police aid post aim for security coverage of campus, as well as sweeping out the crime and criminals around the campus. “All crimes and criminals will be treated with zero tolerence” – said by Hon. Home minister yesterday. “If the victims lodge a complaint, police will take strict and immediate actions” – said by SP to TPT.
Some techies recorded the incident in a video, and put on youtube. with the help of this video, police can easily identity the culprits. we request authorities to take strong actions against this incident, and ensure the safety of techies and make technopark and its surrounding areas are safe for people to work and live.

It seems the goons are part of some local trade union. they are the actual threat of the entire technopark. they breach all security mechanisms of technopark anytime.even the security guards wont be able to ask them why and nobody is there to question them. from this video, the culprits can be easily identified.

I had taken this video. We nearly 25 employees where there on the tea shop at that time. But we were helpless. Because goons attacked with soda bottles on one hand. I am sure that they would have hit us with that soda bottle if we have done any thing. Also I am not from trivandrum. If I complaint to police, I feared I won’t able to come to technopark because of these goons. They are locals. After this incident, we went to technopark security office. But they asked to give complaint to police station as the incident happened outside technopark. From this video the culprits can be easily identified. So I request police to take

If this can happen to guyz during day time, then how does the Technopark authorities ensure safety for women in and around that place. Despite hi-tech camera surveillance if we cant stop such stuff, then where are we heading to.
The nila side gate of technopark is a very dangerous area, from the video it is very evident that some CITU workers are involved in the attack. and police can easily identity the them. but the problem is nobody lodged complaint so far. ( correct me if its wrong ). from the facebook posts it seems police department is ready to take actions, but they are also wondering why this educated techies are not lodging any formal complaints. without that they can’t take any actions. i’m wondering whether it is possible to register a case themselves according to the video footage and arrest those criminals.

Prathidhwani Team met Kazakuttam CI and discussed our concern on this issue and he ensured us that strict action will be taken against the culprits. But as of now no complaint has been registered but the Police will seriously look in to this matter and ensure the safety of Technopark Employees. He also ensured that from today onwards 2 police constables will be assigned for duty near the NILA back gate (California area)
friends, now don’t blame anyone, if techies are attacked again. nobody given complaint so far it seems, the entire police department is willing to help techies, but we are running away because of fear(?). if its so nobody can help us. we should live always in the shadow of fear and slavery.
Stay united and protest until the culprits and nailed. I am sure they will get protected by politicians. However we will need to take this to the media and get them caught.
Good job prathidwani, organizations like you only can help techies, please try to find out the victims and lodge a formal complaint, so that police can take some action. it will encourage more people to go ahead and complain if something happen like this. If some crimes happened, witnessed, it is our duty to give proper complaint to police. if we are not doing our duty – how we can expect others do it for us?
Yeah, but techies are more in numbers, and politicians would be taking decisions in favor of us. because more numbers means more influence. also the media and network power belongs to techies, we can take it in to any level and invite attention and force the politicians to take right actions. but all of us are sleeping, we won’t even respond even if we are seeing an injustice. that should change. nobody can harm us if we are united and alert.
Can’t they take it by themselves and start an investigation and take actions against the criminals – as taking the video footage as an evidence, and inputs from techies ?

First of all, we should file a complaint , Police should be taking care of the anonymity of the petitioner. And lets stand united.
just a question, can’t the police register a case themselves according to the news and videos?
There has to be detailed answers to their questions on 1)what happened first 2)what prompted the goons to come back etc..

Extremely sad to see 5 people attacked 2 of us when 100 of us were around… Guys we are not robots… If somebody hurts us, its our right to ask why and it should be dealt as that place itself rather than a comprise meeting later with police… They dont have ay right to
beat somebody saying that you should have tea inside the shop…. All of you cold have responded…..that time itself…

I am an Eyewitness of the incident
This is what happen
1) Taxi cab came in over speed and dash towards the nila gate throwing mud water to techies.
2) On return they came back again in over speed blowing the horn high for long , this was questioned by the techies ,this prompted the cab driver and others came out of the car and threaten them and clear the spot
3)within in 5 mints they came back with some local goons and started the attack on techies ,created terror by thrown the soda bottles so that no one will dare to stop them.
The victims are not ready to lodge a complaint as they are feared of these goons and they had to travel at night, they are also discouraged by some one in technopark itself as there will be nothing happen more than a compromise meeting at police station
I assume, security people is also with local people, because when I seen police beside nila side gate, I asked security person about the incident. But they have given me a picture like some body filed a complainant that they cannot walk freely through this public way as techies are on the way having tea.
This is what happened every time. we are afraid of giving complaint now situations are changed. Home minister himself involved in the safety issues and this is one of his special interest project, and there are zero tolerance towards the crimes happening arount Technopark. Now technopark is under the city police instead of the old local kazhakkoottam police station – so it wont be like mild treatment for sure. We techies should go ahead and file a complaint – else even police can’t do anything.
Techies wake up and stand for your rights and justice, if you fail to do so, that will encourage the criminals, and discourage the good efficient police officers & minister who helped us for setting a secure campus.
organizations like prathidwani, Gtech, IAK, Voice of Techies, and others should unite and take a bold step to file a complaint and followup the case, and update the techie community. No other techies should face such a situation anymore. this is our opportunity – if we fail now, there won’t be anyone to help us on a later time ( even if something worse than this happened).
yes, if the victims are not ready, we the entire tech community should come forward and unite all the organizations within technopar k including techies and well wishers media etc…and lodge a complaint. there are enough evidences in videos and news. what others say?
you said it right. enough evidences are there – the vehicle number itself is the biggest trail to start investigation and in video – the criminals can be easily identified. Let’s unite everyone and go ahead with lodging a complaint. once its there the police will take actions – and we can get updates and share with techies through social media and websites.
anybody knows the whereabouts of the victims, lets stay united with them and lodge teh complaint – we are 45000+ in number – and never underestimate the power and influence of techies in politics or society. we should stand together for protecting our rights and life. so guys please share your suggestions and lets decide how can we go ahead
right. There are only 5 or something. And the techies gathered there will be around 50. no one said anything.Juz looking.And capturing the video. First of all we have to be strong in the sense mental power. This wasn’t happen If these techies standed together.

Actually where is the real victims, the entire techies, organizations, media, and Police Department offers all the support for them..no need to fear, come on friends. We have to teach the attackers that techies are not useless people in the society, we have to prove it.. come on dear friends….we all are with you. you can make the change….we all are with you…!!!!

Prathidhwani have contacted CI, Kazakootam police once again and he updated us that police have started investigating this based on the vehicle Number.SI is in charge of this.

These guys are been attacked again for complaining to the TP management. These are RSS goons , the TP management is scared of these guys, wont blame them.End of the day they are trained to kill people.
they done this before (in 2011) and what happened nothing but the victim who was the owner of the company(himself got beaten to complaint for the employee) itself took his business away from there loosing 100s of jobs.
Better not to complaint and get thrashed from these GOONS. no one who left the messages here will utter a word when the time comes.

if TP want to take action they can complaint on it . no need of victim to complaint .
But they wont , they are scared of there job and life .They may get justice now . How long prathidhwani will help him and give protection. why cant the TP management make a complaint.

Friend, Even if it’s TP management or Prathidhwani, someone has to explain the incident to Police, i.e. a witness. That’s the only thing Prathidhwani is asking for.

If the police is telling they cant take actions because there is no witness and the video footage is not enough, then it is pretty clear that they are making us fools. I think it will be better if Prathidwani can move to higher officials. And also if this can be shown thorough a channel, then the impact will be high.

Upon prathidhwani’s intervention, Police has arrested the culprits of california incident and they are in Kazhakoottam station.
Police said they can’t hold the culprits more than specific time, else they need to produce them in court or file case against them. WIthout ‘victim/witness’ they can’t file case. – till 2pm today they will hold the culprits.
So he had asked us to find the victim/witness before 2pm today, then only they can proceed further.

friend, The culprits are in police custody now and for them to proceed further, they need witnesses. The video clearly shows their threat , I agree. But the locals could manipulate the story by saying it all started because of us. That’s why we are urging .
Regarding security, this is something that police should assure you and from Prathidhwani’s end, we can do our best to protect you . It’s not just you, we too are involved now.

ajith, can’t they taken the video footage as the poof, and proceed with the case? ashamed of techies, who are not willing to file a complaint – if we behave so the criminals will be more confident and they will continue attacking techies.
From the picture, you can see the goons are wearing CITU uniform ( Shirt ) – most of the people are wearing kaavi kaili there – i think they are CITU people only. not any other parties.
