Technopark in Festive Mood – Onam Celebrations on August 17

TechnoparkToday.com> > Come August 17, Technopark is going to witness a grand celebration of Onam with all its splendor and joy.  Organized by Natana, the cultural organization of Technopark, Onam celebration is one of the most vibrant event in Technopark that brings all companies and 50,000 odd employees on a single platform.

This years’ onam festival begin with laying of floral carpets (Athappookkalam) competition from 7 am to 10 am.   In addition to the competition at Bhavani Atrium, companies of Phase III campus can lay pookkalam at their campus.

This will be followed by a tug of war (vadam vali) which will be held at Technopark ground from 11 am to 1 pm.

A grand procession with the theme ‘Onakkazhchakal’ will begin from Parkcenter to Technopark ground at 3 pm.  Around 25 companies will participate in the procession with their floats on the theme Onam.  Thousands of techies will rally up in the procession wearing traditional attires.  This visual extravaganza will be a feast to eyes.

When the procession reaches the Technopark ground, special singarimelam by Ponnan’s Blue Magic.  The event will conclude with thrilling pulikali and naadanpaattu (folk songs).

“Natana’s Onam celebration is one of the biggest cultural events of Technopark.  Almost all technopark companies will associate to make the event a grand success.  We are getting good responses for the programs announced this year” Riyas Abdulrahiman, a Natana representative said to TechnoparkToday.com.
