Bookings for space has begun and Technopark Phase III is experiencing overwhelming Demand for IT space.
November 22, 2012: Technopark’s third phase of expansion is getting ready for inauguration. The work on State-of-the-art twin tower of 1 million sq.ft built up areas is complete and the finishing touches on the approach road and surrounding area is progressing at a fast pace. Technopark Phase III is slated for an official inauguration by early 2013.
Allotment of space has begun and nearly 40 companies have taken up space in the new facility. Some of the prominent names are HCL, Oracle and CapGemini. One floor out of the two towers spread over 92 acres (Special Economic Zone) is being developed as Smart Business Center with a cost of Rs 3crores that would be equipped with ready to use office facilities.
A 110/11 KV substation is already commissioned on the campus. The building boasts of facilities such as an exclusive bowling alley,incubation centre, conference hall, bank, ATM, cafeteria, gym, swimming pool, shopping malls, food courts etc. Part of the building will be developed as plug and play facility for the benefit of small and medium players. The building will be fully air conditioned and provided with 100% back up power, fire protection, high speed machine room less lifts, etc. Energy saving measures such as recycling of treated water for air conditioning and building management system, energy saving lighting system, etc. have also been incorporated.
“Technopark Phase III expansion was undertaken with an investment of Rs. 292 crores and is expected to create about 40,000 direct and indirect employments. The twin tower would be one of the largest IT buildings in the country with about 1 million sq.ft built up area was built incorporating futuristic design, latest trends and including green building concepts. The new buildings are also considered to be Asia’s largest buildings to get Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design gold rating from the Indian Green Building Council for energy efficiency.†Said Technopark CEO, K G Girish Babu.
Providing more details on the project Technopark Sr. Business Development Manager M Vasudevan said, “The twin towers have been named as Aanamudi and Ponmudi named after the two mountain peaks. We are getting a lot of enquiries from a lot of ITES companies and there is an overwhelming demand for space. With the commissioning of the third phase, the total area of Technopark, including phase I, II and III, will be 333 acres and the built-up area 7.1 million square feet.â€
