Toonz Academy to Offer Scholarship for Animation

>>Toonz Academy, the Technopark-based training division of the award winning animation studio, Toonz Animation India Pvt. Ltd. will offer G A Menon Memorial Scholarships for Animation for their Advanced Diploma in Digital Arts and Animation course commencing in September. The scholarship is open to candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree program in Fine Arts (BFA), KGT Painting and Drawing & KGTE in Fine Arts.

G A Menon, the founder chairman of Toonz Animation India was a visionary who championed the cause of Kerala’s industrialization. According to Mr. P. Jayakumar, CEO, Toonz Animation India, “Mr. Menon was an inspiring leader, and this scholarship is a tribute to a man with an undying spirit that influenced many people around him to aim high and excel.” This scholarship from Toonz Academy is especially aimed at those less fortunate, talented artists from the economically backward sections of the society aspiring to make a mark in the animation industry.

The duration of the course is 12 months and the key areas covered will include Character modeling, Background, Organic Character Texturing, Lighting, Character Rigging, Character Animation and Particle Effects, Dynamics, and Compositing. On the completion of the course, the top performers will have an opportunity for a 3-month internship at the world class Toonz Animation Studio.
