Trivandrum Marathon – TrivandRUN – Run for a cause!

TechnoparkToday.com(Dec,2013): ‘ TrivandRUN’ is an annual awareness and fund raising marathon to be held in Trivandrum city on 11th of January 2014 in aid of Cancer Patients at Regional Cancer Centre, Trivandrum. Majority of patients coming to Regional Cancer Centre for treatment belong to the lower socioeconomic strata.

Even though the treatment cost at RCC is cheaper than in private hospitals and in spite of certain government schemes to meet the treatment costs of poor patients, it was often found not enough to treat all poor patients because of the increasing patient load at RCC. Hence it is imperative to lend a helping hand to the poor patients to get quality treatment. This campaign is a fund raising event for such patients and the funds raised through various activities of this campaign will go to the poor patients fund’

Marathon registration and details
Registration fee : Rs 150
Fee + cap : Rs 250
Fee + cap and T-shirt : Rs 500

Marathon Race Categories:
10km Endurance run (walk or run)- 18yrs and above
1.5km fun run(walk or run)- 12 yrs and above
10km Corporate relay- A team of 5 members

Route: 
Kawdiar Palace – Vellayambalam- Sasthamangalam – Vazhuthacaud – Women’s College Junction- Vellayambalam – Kawdiar Palace.

Note: Route is subject to final approval from the Police. (Registration fee and Cash donations will be go towards the RCC Cancer Fund.)
