NeST, the leading Technopark-based software company with a large facility in Tokyo, has moved its engineers working in the customer site Omika to Tokyo. The rest of the employees are already in safe places like Tokyo. “All our 74 engineers in Japan are perfectly safeâ€, states NeST managing director M Jahangir. He has been keeping in touch with his engineers in Tokyo every hour ever since the Tsunami struck the island nation. “We have a dedicated line for the purpose, things are under control and all of them are taken good care ofâ€, he said.
The NeST building in Tokyo and the buildings of other customers like Hitachi are perfectly safe. Once flights are restored, NeST would be sending a senior official to Japan to take care of the needs of their engineers.
Nest has operations in Japan for the last ten years and has its head office in Tokyo and some of the engineers work out of the customer sites in Omiku and Nasu.
