UST Global celebrates Onam at its Campus in Kochi

TechnoparkToday.com>> UST Global, a leading digital technology services company that provides powerful solutions for Global 1000 companies, hosted Onam celebrations at its office premises on 20^thAugust.  More than 1500 employees, working at the location, came together to celebrate the festival with traditional fervor.

The celebrations began with the “Athapookkalam” (traditional floral carpet) designing competition and a Mahabali themed-contest, where participants dressed up as the erstwhile King of Kerala. Teams from the four facilities of the company at Infopark competed with each other at the two events. The judges were welcomed on board with the traditional tunes of Aarppuvilis and Vanjipaattu, adding to the festive atmosphere.

This was followed by ‘Onam Sadhya’, where employees were served the traditional delicacies associated with the festival. The festivities continued through the afternoon with various fun, games and cultural events, which started off to the melodious tunes of Onapattu and Thiruvaathirakali. The managers took to the stage to outperform each other at the (non)smiling competition which ended up with huge cheers from the audience.

Activities also including adjudging the best –dressed employees, who won the ‘Malayali Manka’ and ‘Malayali Mannan’ titles for attired up to the occasion. This followed by a closely-fought tug-of-war competition. The first among equals walked away with the prize at the end of the day.
