UST Global Yummy Aid 2013 Brings Techies’ Culinary Skills to the Fore

Technology major UST Global’s premises at Bhavani at Technopark in Trivandrum was witness to a unique charity food festival today.  The food festival named Yummy Aid 2013 was organized at the Bhavani Atrium by NowU (Network of Women Ussociates), an internal volunteer organization that spearheads the development and executive mentoring activities for UST’s female associates.

As many as 25 teams comprising a total of 375 members displayed their culinary skills for the audience who thronged the event. Yummy Aid 2013 saw 400 dishes being prepared and served aesthetically, and the best ones walked away with the prizes. Celebrity judge Jaygee John picked the winners.

The event started with delivery leaders inaugurating the event with fun competitions like onion cutting, and icing the cake. Yummy Aid 2013 also had various games stalls and fun spaced with spot competitions for ‘Smell and Identify the Ingredient, ‘Guess the Weight’, ‘Vegetable Cricket’ and the like.

A portion of the sales proceeds will be donated to support students in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) area.
