World Bank’s First Road Safety Hackathon to be held at Technopark

roadsafetyTechnoparkToday.com>> Technoparkpark, Trivandrum will host a unique hackathon to develop technology solutions for road safety on August 22-23.  Kerala Road Safety Hackathon, the exclusive event,  is organizing by World Bank in association with Kerala road safety authority, department of information technology, and AXA Insurance.

The hackathon will be held here in the Park Centre.  AngelHack, a Silicon Valleybased global hackathon champion will be managing the event.  The local coordination and facilitation will be handled by GTech, Technopark.

This will be the first event of World bank’s the four event series happening in four different placed in the world.  The other three events will be held in Columbia, Kenya, and Eastern Europe.

The objective of the event would be to engage the tech-communities for developing innovative solutions to reduce the global burden of road traffic injuries. The event expects participation of coders from all over India. The coders may work individually or as a team which may have up to 5 persons.  Three winning teams will be awarded cash prizes and merit certificates.

The final products, mobile or web-based applications or hardware, will be made available free of cost to the road users.
