World Environment Day celebrated by UST Global

>>UST Global, as part of their corporate social responsibility, celebrates WED – World Environment Day every year.   Color Rose Team in UST Global that is responsible for Environmental related initiatives was spearheading the same this year. The celebrations were held on Jun 05, 2012 at Technopark, Trivandrum with UST donating 1000 free saplings to UST employees. The event was done with the help of Forest Ministry of Kerala, who gracefully helped UST getting 1000 saplings of various trees.Representatives from UST Senior Management did the first donation to employees and then the saplings were taken by employees

In addition to this function, UST also conducted cleaning drives in government schools around Trivandrum and helped them planting saplings which they got from Forest Ministry. UST employees participated with great enthusiasm in the events. This was an effort to increase awareness on importance of trees and their need to control green house gas emission in the community around us.
